Now this question arises:
“Can MY faith, then, be used to shield OTHERS from the fiery darts of the enemy?”
Imagine a battle scene from the movie 300.
A soldier gets hit with an arrow in his arm, and can no longer lift his shield. The enemy launches another wave of arrows and this soldier is surely done for. Then, suddenly, one of his fellow soldiers jumps in front of him, shield in-hand, and protects both of them from the arrows.
Is this scenario possible in the spiritual realm as well?
Can one of my “fellow soldiers” be hit with a hard circumstance or a great temptation, making it hard for him to stick his “shield” up, and I come and stand with him with my shield in hand and protect both us from the “fiery darts”?
Can I say, “I got yo back, dog!” in the spiritual realm?
“And the prayer of FAITH will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
–James 5:15-16
Based off of these verses, I believe so!
What are your thoughts?
