Teen Testimony Thursday: Lonzo Meets Jesus
My name is Lonzo.
I am 15 years old and at student at the Alabama School for the Deaf. I play basketball and football.
My life was changed last summer at Shocco Springs Camp. The youth pastor, Steve, brought a movie “The Passion of the Christ”. When I watched that movie, I understood that Jesus saved our lives. I accepted Jesus in my heart and I was baptized. I was nervous, but I did it.
I started a new life.
When I went home, I told my mom and dad about being saved and baptized. I told my brothers and sisters. I told my whole family and they said they were proud of me.
I have some cool bracelets I wear to help me remember to have faith. One is from Shocco Camp and has Philippians 4:13 that says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I am different now because I have decided to be nice and show respect to others.
I want to teach other people about Jesus.
I want to tell people what happened to Jesus.
